Call for Posters: 2009 Doctoral Education Conference, January 21-24, 2009, Hotel del Coronado, San Diego, California
Health Systems Transformation and Doctoral Education in Nursing: A New Era
Poster Presentations will occur Friday, January 23, 2009, 7:15-8:30 a.m.
The American Association of Colleges of Nursing invites poster presentations that showcase approaches to doctoral education that echo any aspect of the conference theme. Abstracts that address initiatives in doctoral education to prepare policy makers and leaders in the health care system are especially solicited. Examples include such topics as implementing new programs, courses, or initiatives in either research or practice doctoral programs; nontraditional curricular or instructional approaches; or particularly noteworthy or successful leader development approaches embedded in doctoral programs. Poster presentations will occur during the continental breakfast on Friday morning of the conference.
Abstracts should describe original, unpublished work and can include work in progress. The planning committee will select abstracts that reflect the broadest range of initiatives in doctoral education, and represent the widest possible variety of member schools’ size, characteristics, and geographical area.
