The Annals of Bioethics book series, published by Routledge, documents, reviews, and explores emerging bioethical viewpoints as well as the state-of-the-art of this global endeavor. The Annals of Bioethics seeks to document and explore the complex concerns of bioethics while remaining an approachable set of authoritative texts for physicians, nurses and other health care professionals, lawyers, and students, as well as bioethicists, philosophers, theologians, and other scholars. To that end, guided by the usual scholarly standards of peer review, our international editorial advisory board consists of scholars representing philosophy, law, theology, and medicine.
The Annals of Bioethics includes clinical case studies as well as foundational philosophical, religious, and cultural positions and critical commentary. As such, the Annals of Bioethics documents the diverse moral perspectives within which health care policy must be fashioned. Recent volumes include:
· Biomedical Research and Beyond: Expanding the Ethics of Inquiry, Christopher Tollefsen
· The Ethics of Genetic Engineering, Roberta Berry
· Practical Autonomy and Bioethics, James Stacey Taylor
· The Ethics of Abortion: Women’s Rights, Human Life, and the Question of Justice, Christopher Kaczor
The series editors welcome proposals from interested scholars for volumes that further develop, document, and critically assess particular aspects of the ongoing domestic or international debates concerning bioethics. Manuscripts may be either single-authored or edited works of new (or revised) material.
