Location: Quinnipiac University North Haven Campus, Building 1

Sigma Theta Tau, Tau Rho Chapter invites submission of abstracts for the 2011 Annual Conference. Abstracts must be submitted by January 10, 2011.

Conference Theme: Nursing and Primary Care

Keynote Speaker: Margaret Flinter APRN, FNP, VP and Clinical Director, Community Health Center

Conference Objectives: 1. Recognize the influence of nursing in health promotion and primary health care; 2. Gain insight into nursing’s contributions in addressing health care disparity; 3. Appreciate the impact of research on practice & education

Criteria for Abstract Submission

Only electronic submissions will be accepted. Please submit two electronic copies of a one-page, single-spaced abstract with one-inch margins for peer review. One copy should contain the author’s name, title, phone number, home address, email address, and chapter affiliation; include all authors if more than one. The second copy should have no author identification.

Please indicate whether a podium or poster presentation is preferred. Podium presentations should be based on completed research or pending completion by conference date; poster presentations may be based on research in progress. Posters must be free-standing – tables will be provided. Concept analyses, literature reviews, & evidence-based practice projects will also be considered.

ABSTRACT HEADINGS: problem statement, purpose of study, question/hypothesis, conceptual or theoretical base, methodology, sample, analysis, findings, and implications for practice.
