2015 Conference Theme & Objectives
The 2015 conference theme, Nursing Science, Evidence, and Policy: Creating a Culture of Health, reflects both the location of Washington as a political/legislative center and the mission of ENRS to advance nursing science. Nurses are engaged in innovative and diverse research endeavors aimed at improving health and quality of life for diverse populations locally and globally. Promoting the translation of nursing science to clinical practice and enhancing the impact of nursing science on health policy are important considerations regardless of research focus.
In the 27th Annual Scientific Sessions, we will celebrate the influence of nursing science on the culture of health with the following objectives:
1. Describe the generation and application of nursing research to promote high quality, inter-professional health care for diverse populations, locally and globally.
2. Propose innovative strategies to use nursing science to influence health policy.
3. Examine approaches to promote translation of research findings into a culture of health.
4. Explore theoretical and research methodological approaches to promote health through public policy.
