CFS: School Safety (J of School Nursing)

Submit your research to The Journal of School Nursing special issue

 

The Journal of School Nursing August 2018 special issue will report research manuscripts exploring school safety.

Topics of interest include safety related to intentional and unintentional violence and injury, including motor vehicle crashes, school violence, youth violence, sexual violence and suicide. Manuscripts addressing safety in sports, athletics and playgrounds are also welcomed. Finally, school health services manuscripts in medication safety and disaster preparedness will also be considered. Of interest are manuscripts representing a range of study designs including but not limited to literature reviews, epidemiologic studies, interventions or survey studies exploring school safety. The manuscripts should include implications for school nursing and school health services.

Manuscripts will receive a rigorous peer review. The multidisciplinary audience includes researchers, school nurse clinicians and other school health services providers. First decision is available in less than 25 days. Publication at OnlineFirst is approximately 30 days after final acceptance.

Manuscripts should be submitted by December 1, 2017.
