CALL FOR PAPERS
Special Issue of International Nursing Review
COVID-19: Looking to the Future of Nursing: Innovations & Policy Recommendations
The Editors of INR and the International Council of Nurses invite nurses to submit papers for a Special Issue to be released on International Nurses’ Day, 12 May 2021, which will help to showcase and honour nursing and share knowledge and ideas about how the profession can be shaped into the future.
There is no doubt that COVID-19 has challenged the work, lives and wellbeing of nurses and midwives around the world. In this pandemic, they have also risen to the challenge of providing skilled care in situations where there was often insufficient health planning, inadequate numbers of skilled health workers, poor communications, and broken or weak supply chains of equipment and resources.
To be included in this Special Issue, we ask authors to focus on how nursing will look into the future, taking into consideration the innovations, experiences and knowledge gained during the COVID-19 crisis. It is also critical for all authors to describe policy actions and recommendations to deal with COVID-19, and to help nursing and healthcare prepare for future pandemics and epidemics.
The deadline for manuscripts is 28 December 2020, and a variety of papers are welcomed. Be sure to follow the Author Guidelines: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/page/journal/14667657/homepage/forauthors.html#OTHER
