CFS: Pharmacology Issue of J Midwifery & Women’s Health

(JMWH) seeks submissions for its May/June 2011 issue , a special continuing education theme issue containing manuscripts specific to Topics On Pharmacology. The readers of JMWH are primarily clinically active health care providers, and we would like manuscripts that are applicable to clinical practice. This means that although we want articles that cite evidence or actually present research, it is essential that the reader can apply information into practice. Sample topics could focus on a single drug/drug category that is challenging or changing in clinical practice; or larger issues such as use of agents in special subgroups such as adolescents, postmenopausal women or others. We would be delighted to discuss you idea prior to you undertaking the writing of the manuscript. Simply contact us by email. Manuscripts would be due to us on June 1, 2010, although as guest editors we would be happy to receive drafts or questions at any time. JMWH is a peer-reviewed journal, and manuscripts are not guaranteed publication. The peer review process generally takes 8-12 weeks. You can expect to be notified about your manuscript by October 1, 2010. Final drafts of manuscripts accepted for publication will be due January 1, 2011. Submitted materials must conform to the Journal’s instructions for authors, which can be found at http://www.jmwh.org. Please note that per policy of the Continuing Education Committee, who grants CEUs for the articles, no more than 25% of the references can be older than 5 years. Your manuscript should be submitted via the Journal’s online submission system located at http://ees.elsevier.com/jmwh . An electronic author agreement, which includes transferring copyright to ACNM, is sent after a manuscript is accepted for publication. Thank you again for your willingness to consider contributing to JMWH. This is really going to be a special issue and your contribution can add to its uniqueness.
